Male pattern baldness is often genetic. Its called androgenic alopecia or androgenetic alopecia.
Another cause of hair loss is alopecia areata, an autoimmune skin disease causing hair loss on the scalp, face, and sometimes other areas of the body.

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder. There is no cure for the condition that causes sudden and severe hair loss, leaving smooth round bald spots on the scalp.
In most cases, however, this hair loss is spontaneously reversed, even without treatment. This means bald spots will eventually grow new hair again.

Is Prp Effective For Hair Loss
As with any novel procedure, we are in the process of collecting long-term data to understand the possibilities of new and sustained hair regrowth with PRP. Today, some patients have PRP injection in conjunction with other hair loss treatments, such as medication.

Female Pattern Hair Loss
Symptoms in women are generally less severe than those experienced by men, appearing as an overall thinning of hairs across the top of the head, and the gradual loss of hairs down the center part-line of the scalp . The reason women experience milder symptoms is due to hormonal differences. Women produce significantly lower amounts of testosterone than men . Women also produce lower levels about 60 percent less than men of the enzyme 5-reductase that converts testosterone into DHT.
Additionally, women produce higher levels of another enzyme, aromatase , that converts testosterone into the female hormone, estradiol. While males also produce small amounts of aromatase, research has shown that aromatase levels in the frontal and rear scalp follicles in women are 4 to 6 times higher than in men, which is why women rarely lose hair in these areas.
