Nioxin Shampoo And Conditioner
Nioxin is a brand of shampoo and conditioner specifically formulated for thinning hair. I also use these daily, and I love the way my hair feels. According to Nioxin, their products gently remove residue and DHT from the hair and scalp, and provide nourishing vitamins, proteins, and amino acids.
There are six different Nioxin systems on the market:
- System 1 For natural hair with light thinning.
- System 2 For natural hair with progressed thinning.
- System 3 For colored hair with light thinning.

The Trouble With Thinning Hair
There are powders available for men with thinning hair but invariably men either dont know about these or they simply dont want to use them, says Guastella. In my opinion they should though.
All you have to do is gently administer the powder onto the hair and it attaches to the existing hair and to the scalp, he continues. There are an incredible array of colours available so you simply find the one that best matches you.

I think the shag is really a great cut for any face shape. Its both versatile and edgy! It works well with straight or curly hair, so your texture wont be an issue. I think the bangs are great for someone that has a shorter forehead because helps in creating the illusion that you dont!

How would you describe this look and what is your favorite thing about it?
My client has hair thats medium-fine and wanted a style with movement, but wanted to keep as much length as possible. This look is softly layered, creating barely there layers on the top crown portion of the head that are blended into the bottom so that we dont take out too much weight. I love that she can have movement and texture without sacrificing density and length.
For her color, we gave her bright highlights with an iridescent golden tone and a creamy tan lowlight. The overall effect is a buttery, creamy and rich vanilla tone. This creates contrast and brightness without washing her out. I also love the versatile bang that is cut short and textured to sweep to the side. It creates a styled look even on the days she wants to pull her hair into a ponytail.
What products do you recommend to maintain and recreate this look?
To achieve this look, I would absolutely recommend using Olaplex during the service and maintaining with the take home mask. It will keep her hair strong and healthy, especially in the summer months. Wash Your Hair With Shampoo And Conditioner
Oily hair is the kryptonite of thin hair. The way your oily scalp can cause your hair to clump together and fall flat is enough to make anyones hair appear thinner than it is. So, if youre trying to boost the volume of your hair, youll want to make sure that you wash your hair before oil and dirt to build up . While most shampoos are great for making your hair look fuller, you might want to go the extra step and use a shampoo and conditioner that boosts volume and makes your hair look thicker.
Just make sure not to go overboard on the volumizing products, especially those that contain paraffin , as it can weaken your hair over time and cause strands to break. But as long as you stick to shampooing daily with a gentle blocking shampoo, the chances of your shampoo damaging your hair will be greatly reduced.
Tips On How To Style Thin Fine Hair
4. Invest in a good volume spray. Try and find a volume spray that is light and allows movement. I absolutely love Davines Volu Hair Mist. 5. Use a Dry Shampoo. Im aware that thinner hair gets greasier faster, but if you can hold off on washing your hair every other day and invest in a good dry shampoo, you can get great volume in your hair. Take small sections around the crown area and spray the dry shampoo 6-8 away from the scalp. Repeat wherever you feel the hair needs it.
